With a lot of people being stuck at home due to COVID-19 and summer coming up, spring cleaning doesn’t seem that boring. In this video, I demonstrate how to clean two classic consoles from 1991 and 2001 so that whether you’re looking to sell or maintain, they look presentable and stay in proper working order.
I came up with the idea on the spot considering my first idea didn’t go as planned and I had to clean the consoles sometime soon anyways. The main struggle I had was not so much filming, but the fact that my computer that had all my software ended up dying and wasn’t going to be repaired in time for when the project was due. This meant I had to work from the iMovie app on my phone and I couldn’t do certain things either because I couldn’t figure it out or it wasn’t possible. Finding the right day was a struggle as well, but after finally having sunlight, I decided to record in our Sun Room in order to get the best possible lighting. I filmed myself just because it was easier considering I knew the information, how to explain it and demonstrate it.
While filming the video solo was a bit of a struggle, I think the main issue was my computer breaking right before finals and leaving me with not much to do in terms of editing. The idea change wasn’t too much of a issue and I was actually happier with the change because I was able to work in a better pace.
To end this post, I hope you guys enjoy this video and I apologize for the simplicity. I wish I could’ve done more, but with everything from my computer (software) being gone, I had to make do with what I had. I’m proud of myself for overcoming the challenge and getting the work done despite it not being my best.
